We are constantly humbled by the welcoming communities that we keep walking into for events. Yes, we’re only 3 in but it’s been absolutely amazing. Minnesota was no different.
While we did end up getting an RV, one of the coaches from CrossFit Aerial and her family offered to put us up for the weekend while we were in town. We didn’t know what to expect but a warm house (especially given the cold weather) was definitely appreciated. We pulled up to their house late Friday night and were greeted by a large property and driveway to park the RV and two girls running outside with their dogs to say hello. We were exhausted from a long day of packing and driving so we crashed pretty quickly.
Saturday morning before the event, Alex made us a delicious breakfast of eggs and then we caravanned over to CrossFit Aerial and got everything setup.
The members were absolutely warm and welcoming and after all warming up on our own, we paired up for the WOD.
It’s always interesting to see the difference in dynamic from box to box but we felt right at home with the encouragement of this community. Besides for cheering us on as we powered through the workout, they got a ton of t-shirts and made some really amazing donations to the charity.
We can’t thank the community at CrossFit Aerial and our host for the weekend, Alex, enough for being so kind, welcoming and helping making our Minnesota event a huge success.
