Our 4th event for the week was at CrossFit Critical Mass in Fulton, MD. We were definitely tired going into it, but the group was so friendly, welcoming and fun that we were quickly re-energized! The WOD for the day?
Now for anyone who might not really know what “Grace Meets Annie” means, we’ll help clarify. “Grace” and “Annie” are two benchmark CrossFit WODs. “Annie” is 50-40-30-20 and 10 rep rounds of: Double-unders & Sit-ups and “Grace” is 30 Clean and Jerk reps for time. Today, we combined them.
For those of us who don’t have our Double Unders down just yet, we doubled the reps to Single Unders. And in case you’re having flash backs to being a kid and thinking jump roping isn’t that hard…go try it now and think again! And as it took 3 ropes mid-WOD to get it right, Katie can teach you all about the importance of having the right rope length… 😉
But once again it was an event to celebrate. One full of great people excited about doing something to give back!
We’ll work hard and push our bodies but it’s really all about coming together for a great cause. And at the end of the day, we’ll gather around and celebrate what we can do together!
