Last weekend was spent in Boulder, Colorado at the Blend Retreat, a weekend for bloggers and blog readers to come together, hang out and have fun. I’ve been going since it started four years ago and was so excited to make it again with Sam by my side this year. We got to see so many people, tell them our story and take in the beautiful Colorado views for the weekend.
We left Chataqua Park Sunday afternoon and made our way to Fort Collins for an event Monday morning at Wild Horizons CrossFit.
The workout at Wild Horizons was a really fun one, incorporating rope climbs!
It was fun to watch everyone complete the workout (they made the rope climbs look so easy…they’re not!) and of course, get in on some of the action ourselves!
For me, this was the first time I was completing rope climbs in a workout (vs just practicing them on my own) and appreciated the support, encouragement and coaching from owner Ryan!
When you walk into a new location all the time (especially when you’re still learning certain things), we love when the coaches are accommodating to our fitness levels and spend time working with us. It was so empowering for me to complete 1 rope climb each round and knowing I had the support I needed to do it, gave me the confidence to actually get it done!
Thanks to Wild Horizons CrossFit for a fun event, fun workout and the confidence I needed to complete those rope climbs!
