We walked into Power Seeker CrossFit last week and were immediately intrigued. As we looked around the box, there were all kinds of fun equipment – rock climbing wall, boards and different rings hanging from the ceiling. Immediately we wanted to know what this box was all about.
As we hung around during their evening classes, we learned that Power Seeker is a hybrid CrossFit Box and Obstacle Adventure Center with programming that targets both individual goals and/or training for extreme obstacles races (Spartan, Tough Mudder, etc).
As we WODed and watched the other classes complete the workout, I couldn’t help but think how much FUN it would be to train with some of that other equipment. One of the great things about CrossFit is that it’s functional and ever changing and adapting. No two workouts are the same but in a place of constantly trying to push ourselves to get outside that comfort zone and challenge ourselves in new ways, what a great way to do so!
This was a first of the boxes we’ve been to so far this year and I hope it won’t be the last! I think we both also hope for an opportunity to play on some of that fun equipment!
